The PD Mini Zoo used to be known as the rabbit park before it diversified to attract more tourists and visitors. It is located in Teluk Kemang at 9th mile, from a narrow road on the left side if coming down from Port Dickson Town. The GiantB bee farm is located right next door, but it only opens on weekends and peak tourist seasons. The zoo is not quite what you expect in quality, even from a 'mini' one.

Adults pay MYR6 while children MYR3 each to enter. A small fountain sits at the side of the entrance but the water seems to have dried up. Inside the zoo, visitors can see animals in cages, but most of them are of the domesticated variety. A farm would be the more approriate term for this mini zoo, as there are lots of chickens, rabbits, goats and horses. Only a few 'wild' animals are on display, which includes a mouse deer, monkeys and snakes. Due to the lack of other family friendly attractions in Port Dickson, the zoo is still worth a visit, if to keep the children entertained on holiday. |
