Bagan Pinang beach is located from the 2nd to 4th mile of Port Dickson, which places it very close to town. This is easily the largest and longest expanse of beach in PD, with wide spacious areas for running and plenty of breeze for kite flying. At certain stretches, casuariana trees have been planted for shade and atmosphere. Little mangrove islets can be seen or even walked to from the beach at low tide. Most of Port Dickson's hotels and resorts are found along this stretch, such as Corus Paradise, Seri Bayu and the luxurious Avillion Beach Resort. There also many restaurants and hawkers stalls in the area, with more choices in nearby PD town. There are some water sports available here, but not as much as Teluk Kemang. Most visitors and tourists to Bagan Pinang come here to relax or have a picnic. |
